Most of people confuse Vegan with vegetarian. Vegan is of course similar to vegetarian but it has some specifications.

Importance of Veganism

For most people, practising Vegan is more about focusing on healthy life styles. Many research and real life examples have proven positive results in lower blood pressure, cholesterol, lower rates of heart disease, type 2 diabetes and some types of cancer.

International association like British Dietetic Association and American Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics have said that vegan is suitable for any age groups. Becoming vegan allows you to fulfil nutrient requirement from completely plant based food sources.

As said before, most people starts practising Vegan due to focus on Health benefits but for some people it is about saving animals life. As every Non-vegetarians must have must have heard from vegetarians about not killing animals and eating them.

Well yes, this is an concern for many people who are kind to animals and care about nature. Also being vegan helps in slowing down ageing process.

Depending upon animal based food not just impacts on your health but also has negative impact on nature. For example, to grow food for feeding animals consumes too much of lands which goes wasted as those animals are being killed. Whereas that same land can be used to grow plant based food for more people than it could by growing animal feed.

Difference between Vegan and Vegetarian

Being vegetarians includes eating fruits, vegetables, beans, dairy products and eggs. Whereas Vegans are strictly limited to plant based foods and they do not eat eggs and dairy products.

Interesting thing is All vegans are vegetarians but not all Vegans are not vegetarians.
